Always striving to be the best has been Mr. Gause's primary objective. Known to be a positive and upbeat person, he has built his privately held company on sheer determination and confidence in retail merchandising. Gause and Son Jewelers was one of the only three jewelers in the United States for the National Jewelers Hall of Fame Award for outstanding innovation and leadership, involvement in the industry, supporting their community activities and having a high level of success in their business.

 

Gause and Son Jewelers was also chosen for the Morris P. Zale Award named after Morris Zale, one of the largest retailers in the United States, for outstanding marketing and service, having been named for the number one jeweler in Gainesville and Ocala. Gause and Son Jewelers is members of the American Gem Society, Independent Jewelers of America and Jewelers of America.

 

With three stores and four generations of jewelers, Mr. Gause works with his wife, Teddie Gause, vice president and buyer. Their daughter, Mrs. Cammie McLeod, is head buyer and manager at the Ocala Downtown store, while Mr. Rodney Gause, a cousin, manages the Paddock Mall store, making it a family affair.

 

Gause and Son Jewelers was established in downtown Ocala in 1950 by Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Gause. Four generations later, it is a mainstay in the Gainesville-Ocala area. Cammie McLeod is the heartbeat in every aspect of the business. Gause and Son Jewelers sales associates keep the spirits high at all three stores. The new logo - two lions holding a "G" exemplifies strength, loyalty, quality and dedication.
