Subject: MERCHANDISING & WINDOW DISPLAYS

"Did you know that certain colours have an enormous influence over your customer's behaviour? Did you know that the colour BLUE pumps people up and it is proven to increase energy? Tell that to your favourite boxing hopeful and you will see him soon practising in a blue room!"

The purpose of the window displays is to stop customers at your storefront and entice them into your store for more options!

Don’t overcrowd your windows with lots of merchandise. If you think that by displaying too many goods in your window it will impress people and get them into your store, think again! 'A confused customer is a no-good customer and it can easily result to NO SALES AT ALL!' Or if a sale takes place, you will most likely see them back later-on returning their purchase. How often does this happen in your stores?

Keep the presentation of your window displays simple and straight to the points; Karat points that is!  Make use of platforms to create different elevations leading to the center of your windows which will have to have the highest point. This will be the "center piece" of your displays. The displayed jewelry should be positioned appropriately about 50 inches above the floor. This is one of the many effective ways catching the attention of the passing traffic much easier.

As in sales, in merchandising displays too remember, 'KISS' . Simplicity, draws the attention of the human eye easier, it makes good sense and it pays off with lots of good sales!
